Using MELB.EST

MELB.EST is a free, independent guide to Melbourne and surrounding areas. It is not affiliated with the venues it lists unless explicitly stated. No launch listing is sold or sponsored.

Use the site lawfully. Do not attempt to access another person’s passport, disrupt the service or submit false, abusive or unlawful material. We may remove submissions or restrict misuse.

Records and visits

Superlatives depend on their definition, geography, date and available evidence. Each discovery identifies its sources and limitations. An operator’s claim is attributed to that operator. Inclusion is not a guarantee of quality, safety, accessibility or current availability.

Check the venue or relevant authority before travelling, booking or entering a location. Respect access restrictions, weather warnings and cultural and wildlife sensitivities. Collections suggest places with something in common; they are not assessed walking routes.

Passport visits are self-reported. Points carry no monetary value and do not establish attendance or the percentage of Melbourne you have experienced. The catalogue and scoring may change; an export preserves your own copy.

Content and corrections

Sources remain the property of their respective rights holders. Linked photographs have individual licences and attribution on the sources and method page. A link to another website does not give permission to copy or scrape it.

Submit only material you have the right to share. By sending a correction, you allow us to review it and use the factual information to improve the guide. Submissions are not automatically published. Use the correction form on a discovery to dispute a record, attribution or description, or the contact form for rights concerns.

Availability and responsibility

We take care with sources but cannot promise complete coverage, uninterrupted service or that every detail is current. We may update, correct or remove content and features.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees. Victorian and applicable Australian law govern these terms, subject to any mandatory law that applies to you.

The privacy policy explains the passport, essential cookies, submissions, service providers and data controls. Email marketing requires a separate opt-in.
